Good value for a mid-week break

I booked a mid-week stay in a luxury hot tub lodge last month. I found a deal for about 15% off, which made it feel like good value for the quality. The private hot tub was a nice touch. For the price I paid, it felt worth it overall.

Relaxing time in a glamping bell

Me and my partner stayed in a glamping bell for a couple of nights. It was pretty cozy, even with the cooler evenings. The estate was lovely for a wander around. Everything went smoothly from arrival to departure. Just a nice, chill trip away from the city.

Lodge was great, good location

Stayed in a log cabin. Very clean. Hot tub was private. Good location for walks. Check-in was easy. Happy with the stay.

Absolutely loved our romantic retreat

Our romantic retreat was everything we hoped for! The lodge was beautiful, and the estate walks were stunning. We spent hours in the private hot tub. I will definitely be back again next year. Recommend to anyone looking for a special getaway!

Nice stay, few small issues

We had a weekend break in one of the lodges. The check-in was smooth, and the lodge itself was clean and well-equipped. The outdoor swimming pool was great. My only minor gripe was the WiFi was a bit spotty sometimes, which was a bit annoying. Overall, a very pleasant experience though.

how easy is it to get there from manchester without a car? train options look a bit tricky.

K Kevin Garcia 2 days ago
It's a bit out in the sticks, so a car is definitely easier. You'd probably need a taxi from the nearest train station like Clitheroe if you went by rail.

Afraid you're right, getting there by public transport is a faff. I took the train and then had to pre-book a taxi, it was like 20 mins from the station.

Does Ribblesdale Park do any good discounts for NHS staff? My partner works for the NHS and we're looking for a weekend break.

H Hannah Robinson 1 month ago
Yes! They do an NHS discount, I used mine for a lodge last year. Just check their site or give them a call to confirm how to apply it.

Pretty sure I saw something about a Blue Light Card discount too which includes NHS. Worth checking out!

Is it worth bringing my own fishing gear? Never tried fly fishing before but saw it's an option there.

O Olivia Harris 5 days ago
You can totally bring your own! But they also offer lessons and I think you can rent gear if you don't have any or want to try it out first.

I'd say bring it if you already have it. Otherwise, their guides can sort you out with everything you need for a taster session.

My dog is super well behaved, can he come with us everywhere on the estate or are there restrictions?

J Jeff J. 2 weeks ago
They have specific dog-friendly accommodation, but generally, dogs are welcome on leads around the estate walks. Some indoor places might be off-limits though.

Pretty sure they're cool with dogs on the walks and stuff. Check with them about the restaurant or pool area, I think those might be no-dog zones.

Comparing Ribblesdale to Center Parcs, is it similar vibes or more chill? We've done Center Parcs a few times.

D Danielle L. 5 days ago
Totally different vibe. Ribblesdale is way more peaceful and luxurious, less 'holiday camp' feel than Center Parcs. Think more boutique, less activities everywhere.

J Josh Sanchez 2 days ago
Yeah, it's not like Center Parcs at all. More about the beautiful surroundings and relaxing in your lodge/cottage. Less 'organised fun'.
